COLORLAB In-Line

Analyze your sugar color and black spots using AI technology

Automating the sugar factory help manufactures to streamline workflows and collect more reliable test results. The COLORLAB In-Line is specially designed for automatically analysis of sugar color and black spots directly in the production line using artificial intelligence.

Color analysis with less manual resources needed

The traditional method for measuring sugar color on the way to silo is to take a sample from the dry sugar transportation belt and bring it to the laboratory. In the laboratory the sample is dissolved, and the color is then measured manually. This process is very labour and time intensive, and carries a potential risk that sugar with a too high color can have entered a silo for a while.

Reliable results at a higher frequency

With an AI and machine vision system such as COLORLAB In-Line, the traditional method is replaced with an automatized method. COLORLAB In-Line is designed for automatically measurement and analysis of sugar color and black spots directly in the production flow and at a higher frequency. This digital setup provides faster and more reliable results and reduces the need for manual labor.

Your benefits with COLORLAB In-Line

Reduce manual labor

The automated setup frees up valuable time allowing the operator to proceed with other tasks during the color analysis.

Reliable results

The automated color analysis ensures a constant flow of more reliable and accurate results compared to manual tests.

Full overview in LIMS

All data can be uploaded into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for documentation and full overview of the sugar flow.

Camera imaging for analyzing sugar crystals

The COLORLAB In-Line uses camera imaging AI technology to analyze pictures of sugar crystals. Two cameras are installed in the top of the instrument taking pictures of the sugar crystals. A pressurized air flow from top to bottom ensures that dust problems in the imaging areas are avoided.

Upload data into LIMS and DCS

The two cameras system makes it possible to cross validate the measurements. When the samples are analyzed, the results can be loaded automatically into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) as well as to the Distributed Control System (DCS) for documentation and full overview of the sugar flow.

Use COLORLAB In-Line in any dry sugar flow

The COLORLAB In-Line is designed specifically for automatically analysis of sugar color and black spots. The application can be used in any dry sugar flow to have immediate response on the sugar color leaving the area. When used in the sugar flow to silo it enables the possibility to replace traditional sugar color analysis, streamline workflow and reduce need of manual resources.
