Automated measuring with high reliability and low risk of errors
The traditional ICUMSA method for measuring crystal size distributions using sieves involves weighing the sample and sieving the sample using multiple sieve sizes. Subsequently, the remaining fractions on each sieve must be carefully weighed and the sieves must be washed before being ready for the next sample. This method is very labor intensive and carries a potential risk that human errors will affect the testing reliability.

SIZELAB X-Feed enables automated measurement and analysis of sugar crystal size distributions. The digital setup is fully integrated in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This provides reliable test results with the highest accuracy on the market. SIZELAB X-Feed is a patented setup – easy to install and easy to operate. While the automated measurement takes place, the operator is able to proceed with other tasks in the laboratory.
Load up to 10 samples automatically
Using the SIZELAB X-Feed, size distributions can be measured using only a fraction of the manual work and time compared to the sieving analysis. The setup has a feeder that can load up to 10 samples automatically, allowing for unattended analysis of multiple samples.
In addition to measuring size distributions SIZELAB X-Feed can also measure and detect additional features such as conglomeration and other features. The automated measurements and calculations ensure consistent, accurate and easily accessible results.
Automated analysis with the highest accuracy
The SIZELAB X-Feed is a patented setup designed to determine the size distribution very accurately. A special double vibrator system ensures that the crystals are separated before entering the camera view where the crystals are analyzed by camera imaging AI technology.
Access data in LIMS
All data from each analysis is loaded in the Laboratory Information Management System and can be accessed locally or at remote locations directly by operators. The LIMS system ensures full documentation of each sample for future need of documentation and comparison of samples.
